Carving Pumpkins

This year we carved Pumpkins twice. Once at our house with some friends and then over at Cameron and Laura's. McKinley loved it!

5K cake walk and run

This fall I was on a committee to organize a 5K for a man with cancer in my neighborhood. We had so much fun planning and organizing this event. I have a great love for this man and was so grateful to be able to help his family in any way possible.


At the end of the race everyone got a cupcake....here are all of the cupcakes.

Day 3 Discovery Gateway

We have a pass to Discovery Gateway and so we decided to utilize it. It was fun to have Oliver and McKinley's friend come.

Day 2 Hiking and Rocky Mountain Raceway

For our second day of stay-cation we went hiking with Oliver's sister Abby. It was a beautiful day and the hike was gorgeous. That night Oliver and I dropped the kids off and headed over to the Rocky Mountain Raceway. We had a lot of fun watching the races- especially the crashes.

Stay-cation Day 1

So this summer we were suppose to go on vacation, but at last minute we decided not to go. We still wanted to be together as a family so we decided to do a stay-cation. It was so fun and something I would recommend to anyone.... Especially being able to go home and sleep in your own bed. So on the first day we went to Incredible Pizza. We had some coupons from the mail and decided to try it out. We were there all day from about 11-7. We ate a lot of food, went bowling, went miniature golfing, played arcade games, and danced. Every so often they have a dance contest in the middle of the floor. We decided to do it...They thought McKinley was the cutest little thing they have ever seen. They loved her so much they gave us a $20 gift card to spend on arcade games. We ended up coming home with more money on the gift card then what we had spent at Incredible Pizza. If you have not been- You should go. The best part about the day was when we got home. Our sweet neighbors snuck into our house and made our house like a bed and breakfast. They turned down the sheets with mints and tootsie rolls for McKinley. Then in the fridge they had put everything we needed for a delicious breakfast. It was so thoughtful and made it easier to pretend we were really on vacation.

Princess Party

This fall my friends and I put on a princess party. The ticket into the the party was either a package of diapers or wipes to be donated to families for Christmas. We had 100 little princesses show up. We all dressed up as princesses, made princess wands, danced with Belle, had story time with Tinkerbell, and pictures with Cinderella. It was such a blast that I think we will make it a yearly event. McKinley was so excited that she got to be Snow White like mommy. I was grateful to be apart of such a wonderful event and see how truly generous my neighbors are.

Preschool

This past fall McKinley started Preschool. Here are some pictures of her first day of school. She was so excited to use her backpack from Grandma Brown. I love how her backpack is as big as she is! I cannot believe that she is old enough to be in preschool!
