The Live Nativity

This month we had the opportunity to attend the live Nativity in Highland. Wow, was it incredible. Even after waiting in line for an hour and half we still really enjoyed it. When we finally got to the nativity part they had men on horses asking if we paid our taxes.

In the barn they had live camels, goats, a donkey, geese, and sheep. They also had the three wisemen and others dressed up like you were walking through Bethlehem. McKinley asked one lady where baby Jesus was and she said we needed to find the star first. So we went out of that barn and followed a pathway. McKinley looked up and saw the star. She was so excited because that meant baby Jesus was close.

When we entered the last barn we did indeed find Baby Jesus.
I was so grateful they put this on because it was a great way to teach McKinley about the true meaning of Christmas. As we entered the barn and saw this scene I was truly filled with the spirit of Christmas!! I am so grateful for the birth of our Savior.

Pure silliness....

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Brown's house the other Sunday. McKinley found their game closet and was pulling out all of these silly games. So we decided to play a few with her. As you can tell it was a lot of fun and we were really SiLlY.

This was the bee game.

Festival of Trees

This year we had the chance to go to the Festival of Trees. I forgot how many beautiful trees there are. McKinley loved all the pink, princess trees.

We really liked this pink tree.

This was one of my favorite trees. It had little shoes all over it. What can I say....I LOVE SHOES!

Thanksgiving Day

This year Thanksgiving started out at my Mom's house for a delicious crepe breakfast. After breakfast and lounging around we headed up to SLC to see Oliver's mom. After visiting we then headed over to Oliver's aunts house to see the rest of his family. We then came back to Eagle Mtn for a dinner at our neighbors. I was so excited for dinner, but I got so sick that I was not even able to eat a big Thanksgiving dinner. I am still craving turkey ( which is opposite from most years!)

The kids and their cute matching shirts. My mom and sisters made these adorable shirts.

Halloween Night

Grammy came out and went trick or treating with the kids. We were glad we had gone to the mall earlier since it was raining so much. I love this picture it just has so much personality.

halloween festivites

This year McKinley was a witch for Halloween. It took her weeks to decide what she wanted to be. My mom made the cute leggins she is wearing!

This year we carved Pumpkins twice. Once at our house with some friends and then over at Cameron and Laura's. McKinley loved it!

5K cake walk and run

This fall I was on a committee to organize a 5K for a man with cancer in my neighborhood. We had so much fun planning and organizing this event. I have a great love for this man and was so grateful to be able to help his family in any way possible.

At the end of the race everyone got a cupcake....here are all of the cupcakes.

The Chick-fil-a cows even came!

Day 2 Hiking and Rocky Mountain Raceway

For our second day of stay-cation we went hiking with Oliver's sister Abby. It was a beautiful day and the hike was gorgeous. That night Oliver and I dropped the kids off and headed over to the Rocky Mountain Raceway. We had a lot of fun watching the races- especially the crashes.

All ready to start up the mountain.
