Camping at Ledgefork

On July 24th and 25th we went camping at Ledgefork with our neighbors. We had a great time just hanging out in nature and being away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life.

This was the swing Oliver made. McKinley really enjoyed it.....

This was the tree after Oliver tried to sit on the swing. I guess there is a big difference between 24lbs and 160lbs. Oliver's face was priceless after the tree fell over on him. We could not believe that the tree was completely uprooted.

Getting ready to head out for a little hike.

4th of July

We had a great time on the 4th of July. We went to the Provo parade with my family. Oliver surprised us when he came. He was suppose to work, but got off..... So we were excited to see him. After the parade we walked around the booths, ate lunch at the mall, and had a lazy rest of the day at my moms house. It was a nice and relaxing day.

McKinley's 2nd Birthday

McKinley turned 2 on July 2nd. I cannot believe how fast she has grown up. She makes me smile everyday. She has a personality that shines every where she goes. We had a great time celebrating her birthday. On the night before her birthday Oliver's family came over for a little celebration and family pictures. Then on her birthday we went to seven peaks with Aunt T. We actually celebrated her birthday more on the day before and the day after. On Friday (the day after her birthday) she opened her gifts from Oliver and I. We love our little Girl. We are excited to celebrate this new year in her life.

We made smiley face pancakes for her birthday.

Singing "Happy Birthday"

Opening her gift from the Brown's. She got a puzzle, clothes, books, and a DVD. She is Definitely spoiled!

McKinley was so funny because she could not open her gift until ALL of the tissue paper was laid out flat in a pile on the floor. Maybe she is a little obsessive already! :)

Night # 2

So I decided to check on McKinley in her bed one last time before I went to bed for the night. When I got to her room this is what I found. I thought it looked so cute...like she was praying, but I figured that would be uncomfortable sleeping position. I may need to to get side rails on her bed if she continues to do this often. What a sweetheart she is!

I wonder if She would have slept this way all night?!?

McKinley's First Dance Recital

Yesterday was McKinley's first dance recital. Boy, she is a little performer. Last night she got on that stage and knew exactly what to do. I was a little nervous that she would just stand there......but she just put on the charm full blast. She got on that stage smiled and danced like she owned the stage. It was so fun for me as a mom to watch her. I could not stop smiling! I guess as a little girl I always had dreams of having a little girl and being able to dress her up and do her hair. Last night was a dream come true for me. I love my little girl. She truly lights up my everyday. I would be lost with out her. I hope she knows that I feel truly blessed to have such a special child of our Heavenly Father in my care. I hope she never forgets that she has a mom who loves her and will always be there for her unconditionally!

Oh ya!

Every time McKinley would get to the bottom of the slide she would look at all of the adults and do her little laugh. Needless to say she was charming the socks off everyone....like usual.
